Day 20 – Peer Pressure
Lord Jesus, I pray for __________ that they would stand for truth in the midst of a culture which brings ungodly peer pressure. Let them be as Daniel and his friends, being strengthened and set apart by Godly convictions. May their ability to withstand peer pressure come from the fact that they fear you above all things. I thank you, Lord, that my children will walk in the fear of the Lord, which is the beginning of wisdom. I thank you that from early on, they will have a Matthew 10:28 understanding. Help them to forego a people pleasing mentality. Help them to walk securely in their identity as a beloved son/daughter and not strive for approval from men. On the other hand, help Godly peer pressure to be present in their lives. Let peers rise up around them to spur them on in the things of your kingdom. Together, let them chase hard after you, and live their lives and choices for your glory. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
Matthew 10:28 - Do not be afraid of those who kill the body but cannot kill the soul. Rather, be afraid of the One who can destroy both soul and body in hell.
