Day 7 - Spirit of Comparison
2 Cor. 10:12 – We do not dare to classify or compare ourselves with some who commend themselves when they measure themselves with themselves, they are not wise.
Oh Lord, I pray against the spirit of comparison. It wields its influence in two ways – comparing self with self and comparing self with others. I pray for __________ - Cause them not to look at themselves considering what they’ve done or comparing to the past. Help them to always measure themselves against you. Help them to cast off the spirit of comparison with others –producing pride or discouragement. Help them to compare and come into alignment with the unique calling and giftings you have for their lives. I speak confidence, not cockiness, to their callings. Let them be whatever "Part" of the Body of Christ that they are called to be with faithful stewardship. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
