Lord Jesus, I thank you for your forgiveness that You poured out on the cross and that you daily pour out for each one of us. Jesus, I pray that forgiveness is sought after and upheld in our marriage. Lord, cause us to be unsettled in our spirits when we are tempted to harbor unforgiveness toward one another. Help us to take the attitude of Christ on the cross – to forgive even when wronged. Allow no bitter root to arise and spring forth. Help them to pursue Ephesians 4:26-27,
Do not let the sun go down while you are still angry, and do not give the devil a foothold.
We declare no footholds will remain for our marriage. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
