Day 3 - Salvation
(Colossians 1:13-14, 19-20; 2:14)
Thank You, God, for Christ’s sacrifice on the cross and what He accomplished there for us. May all of my grandchildren grasp the significance of the cross and the depth of Jesus' love for them. Thank You for rescuing my grandchildren (name them) from the domain of darkness and bringing them into Your kingdom of light and keeping them there. Thank You for reconciling them to Yourself and giving them a keen gratitude for Your forgiveness of sins.
I pray that you would give them hearts that lean toward You and Your ways. As they become of an age of understanding, may each one respond to the opportunity to confess their sin and ask You to be their Savior. Give them simple faith to receive Your gift of new life. Prepare their hearts to be fertile soil that receives the seed of the gospel. May nothing impede the planting of that seed in their hearts. Bring the right people into their lives to water, tend, and feed that seed, so that they can grow in their faith.
