Day 35 - Sibling Relationships

(Colossians 3:13; Ephesians 4:32; I Thessalonians 5:11)

Father God, In spite of the normal sibling rivalry that occurs, I ask that You would prepare the way for my grandchildren to become one another’s best friends. May they develop a sincere, deep love for one another. Guide their parents into using this realm of conflict to teach ___________  skills of how to honor their siblings. May they learn what it means to bear with and offer grace to others. I ask that they will exponentially grow in being kind and compassionate to one another. May their hearts grasp the importance of forgiveness as they work through petty differences with their siblings, so that when challenged with a greater offense they know how to choose forgiveness over grudges and bitterness.

Conflict resolution is such an important skill to learn and You have created the family as the perfect place to lay the foundation for success in their future relationships. Where brothers and sisters are involved, I pray that my grandsons would learn how to cherish and protect his sister/s and all women. May my granddaughters learn with her brother/s that God designed a man to need respect.

Oh Father, give ___________ soft hearts that will respond to the conflict that arises with their siblings with a humble learner’s heart. Strengthen their bonds of loyalty. I pray that they would come to excel in serving, caring for, encouraging and building up one another. May their love for one another endure forever.

In the name of Jesus who models perfect brotherly love, Amen.
