Day 40 - Faithful to the End
Heavenly Father, Jesus told His disciples that “everyone who confesses Me before men, I will also confess him before My Father who is in heaven. But whoever denies Me before men, I will also deny him before My Father who is in heaven (Matthew 10:32-33). As we live in a world that grows increasingly hostile to those who profess Christ, I pray for courageous hearts for my children and grandchildren (name them). Deepen their roots in Your love so that they never doubt or question their commitment to follow You. They will stay rooted in Your Word so that they are able to choose the faithful way (Psalm 119:30). Empower them to remain in fellowship with Christ so that when He returns, they will be full of courage and not shrink back from Him in shame, but hear Him say, “Well done, good and faithful slave…enter into the joy of your master (I John 2:28; Matthew 25:21).
I ask that none in our family would ever deny You. By Your Spirit, keep us strong in any hour of testing when we must choose to confess You or deny You. May all of our choices, words and lives bring only glory to Your name at all times. My family will not fear what we may suffer for Your name and we will be faithful until death, and receive the crown of life that You have promised us (Revelation 2:10). May we depend on Your power within us to strengthen us to never turn away from making a stand for You. I ask, Father, for a legacy of faithfulness for my family.
In Your powerful and worthy name, Amen.
