Day 16 – Romans 12:1

Therefore, I urge you, brothers, in view of God’s mercy, to offer Your bodies as living sacrifices, holy and pleasing to God – this is your spiritual act of worship.  Romans 12:1

O Lord, as I pray this Scripture today, I sense Paul’s urgency in the challenge.  He’s urging them to be all in and not wait.  He’s reminding them of the reason why to walk out the challenge.  The reason is because of the mercy of God.  It’s because of His mercy in my gaze that I have the motivation to fulfill the “Challenge.”  Oh Lord, search me and know my heart.  Show me, today, the areas of my life that I haven’t laid down as a holy and pleasing, living sacrifice.  Oh Lord, have Your way with EVERY part of my life.

My life is not my own; I’ve been bought with a price.  Therefore, I desire to honor You with my body. (1 Cor. 6:19-20)  Thank You, Lord, that You are compassionate and gracious, slow to anger and abounding in love.  Thank You for Your faithfulness to me even when I’m faithless.  Thank You that You pursue and grow me until I take my final breath.  Again, today, I offer myself to You to be molded and used according to Your timing, Your pleasure, and Your purpose.

In Jesus’ name, amen.
