I need Thee, Oh, I need Thee; Ev’ry hour I need Thee; Oh, bless me now, my Savior, I come to Thee. By Robert Lowry
Therefore, I tell you, her many sins have been forgiven – for she loved much. But he who has been forgiven little loves little. Luke 7:47
Oh Lord, today I am reminded of my complete need for You. This passage speaks such depth of truth – that until I know what I’m saved from, I won’t understand the gravity of Your love. In return, my tendency will be to only give You a portion of the love You deserve. Oh how great is Your sacrifice!
I was steeped in sin from birth. I lived a prideful life with rebellion in my heart. I have been prayerless and haven’t been grateful. I’ve given myself to things and wasted my time. Yet, You gave of Yourself freely. In agony, You pored Yourself out; Your lifeblood was spilt. In Your lovingkindness, You were broken for my brokenness. Without You I would have no hope and no purpose. I am so in need of You – for salvation, for hope, for my broken parts, for provision, for life itself. Thank You for Your love. You are worthy of ALLworship, honor, and praise.
In Jesus’ name, amen.
